Touching Down at Lloyd’s Inn
When the taxi drops you off at Lloyd’s Inn, that’s when relaxation begins. The hotel sits in a central spot, not far from Orchard Road but tucked away on a quiet side street, away from the hustle and bustle. Right as you arrive, you catch sight of the inviting pool and relaxation area. Walking down the corridor, you step into the always cool and friendly reception.
After a warm welcome from the staff, it’s time to drop off your bags and take a breather. Then, it’s off to your room with a quick, personal introduction. At Lloyd’s Inn Hotel, your journey starts with a friendly hello and a promise of comfort and peace during your stay.

Unlocking Comfort: Chic Room Design at Lloyd’s Inn
As seasoned guests at Lloyds Inn, having stayed here five times now, from the double rooms to the “suites,” we’ve always felt at home. The style remains consistent in every room, and we’re particularly fond of the interior design – modern, fresh, and impeccably clean. One aspect we appreciate is the absence of carpets, replaced instead by clean concrete floors, adding to the sleek aesthetic.
The beds are really comfy, and we always sleep well on them, even without considering the jet lag. Each room has a TV, but we’ve never used it during our stays in Singapore. In the suites, there’s an added touch of luxury with an outdoor bathtub and a small office space on the upper floor, offering extra comfort and convenience during your stay.

Finding Serenity: Your Leisure Time at Lloyd’s Inn
One of the main reasons we initially chose Lloyds Inn was its serene atmosphere, which feels like a peaceful oasis in the midst of a bustling metropolis. The pool area is beautifully arranged, serving as the perfect spot to relax. Whether it’s spending time in one of the hammocks or lounging by the pool, we often find ourselves unwinding here before departure or after a busy day exploring the city.
On the first floor, there’s also a terrace area where you can find coffee and beverage vending machines, providing an added convenience for guests.

Concierge Corner: Service with a Smile at Lloyd’s Inn
In a nutshell: outstanding. The staff at Lloyd’s Inn are incredibly friendly and exceptionally helpful. Whether it’s arranging transportation, providing assistance with forgotten adapters, or any other request, we’ve always encountered super-friendly and accommodating staff here.
Dining Options When Staying in Lloyd’s Inn
While some may see it as a downside that Lloyd’s Inn doesn’t have its own restaurant area, we don’t necessarily view it that way. The dining options available on nearby Killiney Road cater to a diverse range of dietary preferences, with many choices suitable for vegans like us. Although in other areas, the lack of an in-house restaurant might weigh more heavily, as we are avid breakfast enthusiasts. There’s hardly anything better than a great hotel breakfast for a good start to the day. However, in Singapore, the short stroll to Bloom Cafe is a delightful change of pace. We’ve also compiled a list of additional vegan options in a separate article for your convenience.

Smart Spending: Assessing the Value of Our Singapore Stay at Lloyd’s Inn
Without a doubt, Lloyd’s Inn delivers excellent value for money. We’ve stayed in hotels in Singapore that cost double what Lloyds charges, yet we didn’t necessarily feel more comfortable. The location, the size of the hotel grounds, and the outstanding service are what will keep us coming back to Lloyd’s time and time again.
